Exhibition untitled 2009

The exhibition has some touch points with my previous exhibition at ID:I Gallery, autumn 2006. It has certain similarities thematically and formally. One could speak of different layers of presence in the purely visual and in the performance which has its equivalent in existence with its various aspects. The glass I show on a wall in the exhibition is a kind of objet trouvé. Here, they are deprived of their original function which is to prevent direct sight without removing light. The pattern helps to note that behind this there is something you should not see, which prevents the look, while at the same time capturing it with its attractive pattern. It is as if the eyes receive their reward despite the disappointment of not being able to see through. The decoration as consolation!

On the opposite side, lines in two layers play with black ink pen on glass. As you move around the room, the lines vibrate and your gaze is hard to focus.

The square image in the fund is made of thin steel wire cut into four layers so that a grid pattern is created both two and three-dimensional. The triptych examine the surface and depth, in front and behind, light and shadow, a play with the eyes.

In the inner room is a square glass slab on the floor, placed a decimeter from the wall, painted on the back with oil paint. The paint is applied with three fingers directly to the glass in small circular motions. Here is a spotlight on a tripod. The light arrangement together with the image creates a dramaturgy that is missing from the outer space.
